The most annoying syndication cut EVER.

        My local WB affiliate showed 1F10 last night, the one
where Apu is fired from the Quik-e-Mart and James Woods takes
his place.  When he's living with the Simpsons, after they
sing "Who Needs the Quik-e-Mart," Homer hears Apu on the roof,
crying faintly, and says, "Hey, he's not happy at all!  He
lied to us through song!  I *hate* when people do that!"
        Inexplicably, those lines were cut out, and the
syndicated version just cuts straight to a commercial.  That's
one of my favorite Homer lines, and they just excised it out
like polyp.  This makes me sad.

After Mr. Burns had written Homer that check to sponsor the Pin Pals, in syndication, they cut out the part where he's looking through his checkbook and mistakes "bowling" for "boweling." They just cut straight to him saying "bowling" and that actually being correct. I LOOOVED that part that they cut out.
