I mentioned earlier this week that this scene was totally South Park. This kind of vomiting and colorful commentary on it would be tame on South Park. That is why SP is so terrible and OFF is so great!

hey yeah, i remember reading that. i've never seen a whole episode of south park - i've tried to sit through it about a dozen or so times, but i just don't think it's funny. i also enjoy more subtlety and gentleness than outright in your face shock value stuff.

I actually watched south park for a while during the early episodes and enjoyed it quite alot. I still enjoy quite a few episodes. I think the mistake people fall into with many shows though that have shock humor is to look at that as the purpose of the entire show. Shock humor usually doesn't entertain me at all but South Park had some hilarious things that weren't shock. I especially loved the volcano episode where everyone was advised to duck and cover if they see lava coming and then watching a few folks take the advice. I liked the scene where Kenny's mom is smoking a crack pipe in bed with two men. That's something you'd probably never see on OFF! (Imagine Marge in bed with Lenny and Carl smoking crack? Nah.)

Couch Scenes We'd Love to See Dept.: OFF runs into the room and Mr. Hanky and his family of turds are sitting on the couch. OFF show a really disgusted look and run back out.

appearance #1: 9F12 - Brother From the Same Planet After lifting weights with Tom, Bart settles down to watch some television. But it's not Itchy and Scratchy. It's Ren and Stimpy. Bart and Tom get a kick out of an absurdly disgusting scene.

appearance #2: 9F16 - The Front Grampa preps for awards night. The presenters for Outstanding Writing in a Cartoon Series are Krusty and Brooke Shields. The prepared joke sucks. Krusty storms off in disgust. Brooke carries on by herself. The nominees are ``Strondar, Master of Vacom: the wedding episode)'' [a He-Man knock-off], ``Action Figure Man: the how to buy action figure man episode'', ``Ren and Stimpy: season premi\`ere'' (clip not done yet), and ``Itchy and Scratchy''. Grampa watches the clip with horror. And the winner is Itchy and Scratchy. Grampa takes the stage and expresses his disgust, earning a resounding boo (and thrown fruit) from the audience.

even though R&S is off the air, it's pretty obvious the bigwigs behind the scenes either didn't like the show, or wanted to playfully mock it. either way, this clip smelled of R&S.

then again, i'm not up to date on today's kids shows. just OFF.

Nah, I think that the time that a badger ripped out the layers of skin and muscle covering Homer internal organs *without* ripping his shirt is the grossest thing I've seem on the Simpsons. That, or Selma's hairy legs.
