Reference to OFF in Futurama

Did anyone catch Futurama today? Under "Futurama", in the opening sequence, the quote was "Soon to be a major religion." Anyone else think this was a reference us, the loyal fans of the Simpsons?

I think this was more of a stab at the Australian "Jedi", who tried to get THAT turned into a religion a few years ago.

and maybe at us english who did manage to get it passed as a recognized religion as something like 390,000 put it down on the census

Don't know about your Census laws, but in Australia, no matter how many people put it down it was never going to be recognised. There are a number of strict criteria that a faith must meet before it is classed as a recognised religion. I worked on the 2001 Census and Jedi doesn't even come close.
