What's with Database?

First of all, is Database supposed to be a ripoff of that 'Pat' character from SNL? And why has he been on so much lately?

Because people have to know who he is in order to buy his action figure

The Database action figure is easily the worst to come out so far. He's VERY short, only taller than Maggie and Itchy. When Lisa and friggin Scratchy are taller you can smell poor production quality.
