Season labeling question...

How does it work? Seems pretty undecipherable to me...

eg:

'(AABF11) (5F19) (BABF01) (5F03) (CABF12)'

Those are just a couple random ones. How do you decipher the season and episode number from that?

Are you using Netscape?

5F19 and 5F03 are season 9, episodes 19 and 3. AABF11 is season 10 ep 11. BABF is season 11 ep 1. CABF12 is season 12 ep 12. The episode number does necessarily represent the order in which they were aired, just produced.

If you really just want to be able to find the information you are looking for based on the production code, then just use the episode quicklist at: http://www.snpp.com/guides/ql.html

If you really want an explanation, I think someone else explained it to you in the other thread where you asked this. But really quick: The first part represents the season of production and the number at the end represents the episode number (order of production, not necessarily airing) Also, some episodes produced in one season aren't aired until the next season. So:

Season 1: 7G Season 2: 7F Season 3: 8F Season 4: 9F Season 5: 1F Season 6: 2F and so on until we start the new scheme in season 10: Season 10: AABF Season 11: BABF Season 12: CABF Season 13: DABF

So you combine the prefix with the episode number, for instance, "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" is 7G08. It was the 8th episode produced for that season, though it was the first to air. To know what order they aired you just have to know, or look at a list like the one I linked to before.
