Half sister?

Is it supposed to be canon now that Homer has a half-sister? I thought the writers had learned not to mess around with the character's histories after the fake Skinner episode.

Overall, a bad episode. Especially since I stopped watching the endless loop of seasons 12-14 reruns on TV and have been watching the season 3 episodes on DVD.

The MacBeth part was funny, but they should have been a little more creative. A variety of calamidies would have been funnier than lightening over and over again. I think there was another part that made me laugh out loud, but I don't remember it. Oh well, probably no big loss anyway.

We'll probably be seeing more of her in an upcoming episode, like we did with Homer and Ned's Vegas Wives and the Screamapillar. Since they probably won't send the Simpsons to England again I'd guess the writers will find a reason to bring her to Springfield, maybe have her move in with the family...with hilarious results! (Well, I guess that last part is more optimistic than likely.)

As for Homer's half-sister, I don't have a problem with her existence. We already knew Abe had one illegitimate child, so there being another one is hardly along the same lines as saying that Skinner is someone entirely different. On the other hand, I didn't find the character funny, so I'd rather she didn't reappear.

The character had potential to be funny... it was the highly affected and grating british accent that ruined it. I'm kinda tired of "annoying voice" characters on shows.
