    When somebody tries to kill Homer, Chief Wiggum thinks "it takes
    an attempted killer to know an attempted killer", so he gets one
    with lots of experience - Sideshow Bob

2/16 - GASP - TRIPLE CHOCOLATE - er, TRIPLE FEATURE
7:30 - How I Spent My Strummer Vacation (DABF22)
    Sir Mick Jagger, Elvis Costello, Lenny Kravitz, Tom Petty,
    Keith Richards, and Brain Setzer voice themselves as Homer goes
    to a rock-and-roll fantasy camp
8:00 - NEW "Well, it IS the 300th if you pretend that 'Another
       Simpson Clip Show' and 'The Principal and the Pauper' never
       happened" EPISODE - Barting Over (EABF05)
    When Bart discovers that he was once "Baby Stink Breath", the
    pitchman - er, pitchbaby - for something that stopped babys' bad
    breath, but Homer wasted all of the money, he gets legally
    separated from his parents, and runs off to a loft where he
    meets Tony Hawk and blink 182
8:30 - ANOTHER NEW EPISODE - I'm Spelling as Fast as I Can (EABF07)
    George Plimpton guest voices as himself as spelling bee champion
    Lisa enters the "Spellympics", only to realize that there may be
    more to winning than being the best speller

2/23 - DOUBLE FEATURE - SPECIAL TIME (because Fox is airing "X-Men"
       at 8:00)
7:00 - Special Edna (EABF02)
    When Bart nominates Mrs. Krabappel for the National Teacher of the
    Year award, and the judges are impressed - impressed that there
    really is a Bart Simpson, that is - "The Simpsons are going to
    Orlando!"
7:30 - Bart vs. Lisa vs. Third Grade (DABF20)
    Lisa is promoted a grade at the same time that Bart is demoted
    one, and they end up in the same third grade class, where Bart,
    who's been through it already, impresses the teacher more

3/2 - A Star is Born-Again (EABF08)
    Marisa Tomei and James L. Brooks (the producer of, among other
    shows, "The Simpsons") guest voice as Ned Flanders dates a former
    starlet

Upcoming "Futurama" Episodes ----------------------------------------------------------- 2/9 - PRE-EMPTED AGAIN because it's February and Fox STILL thinks more people would rather watch a "King of the Hill" repeat

2/16 - PRE-EMPTED YET AGAIN, but I think this time it's a new episode
       of "King of the Hill" and not just a repeat (besides, "Malcolm
       in the Middle" gets pre-empted by a "Married...with Children"
       reunion)

2/23 - At least this time it's for a Simpsons repeat (and both "King of the Hill" AND "Malcolm in the Middle" get pre-empted)

Yeah, it's a shame they probably won't ever air those episodes. I wonder if the Cartoon Channel has them lined up for show. They started on the pilot and have gone in order so far.

Well, not all that are airing. The only one not airing for now is 3ACV11.

When it said and done, it'll be 72 in all.

I believe it's 3ACV12 (Iron Chef) that's not being aired, actually, but I gotcha...

Why is that? I haven't seen all of them yet, is there some sort of censorship issue?

I'm basing this on what I read in alt.tv.futurama, but most of the information I put together was from several different posts to a few different threads... In other words, I could be completely wrong here...

It's because Fox hasn't exhausted all its rights to air some Futurama episodes, because they've aired it so seldom.

The listings say 10:00, and that's not too surprising, considering that its running time was 104 minutes, and they'll replace the full credits with the "squeezed" kind so they can run them much faster, so it's more like 99 minutes - that leaves 21 minutes for commercials (and if they really wanted to, they could time-compress some scenes, although they could just slice out a few of the less-interesting parts).

So what's pre-empting Futurama on 3/2?
