*Another* monkey joke? These are really getting tiresome. Lisa was terribly out of character for wanting to go back to the second grade and be a "big fish". Didn't we just see last year that she wanted to be a college student?

Don't even get me started on that episode. Yes Lisa is a smart and well read kid, but common, the stuff that the college kids would be learning would be putting even them to the test (Calculus for example throws most HS people 'for a loop', an 8 year old who's in reality would be just learning stuff like 236+568) BUT it is completly possible that she didn't go to classes like that. But an 8 year old posing as an 18+ year old simply because of a hat? I mean, as soon as the 8 year old spoke everyone would realise that someone is 'up'.

That's one thing that's always bothered me about Lisa of the last 'quite a few' seasons. Her intelligence level is beyond belief. Intelligence does not equal knowledge. Even a super genious still has to learn stuff, their not born with massive knowledge. In the earlier seasons Lisa was smart BUT realistically smart and she acted like a normal 8 year old who simply read a lot of books and did very well in school.

But I'm sure this is an old old argument now , so I'll stop.

Well, she has been 8 for 14 years, so give her a break.

Did they actually explain how Bart and Lisa went from being within sight of the state capitol to being lost in the woods?

The way I figure it, Skinner likes dog food. Um, I mean, the state capitol is built near the woods. Why this is, and why Bart and Lisa didn't just go back the way they came, are the mysteries involved here.
