As aptly shown, Wiggums is a parody of him, not quite the same thing as an appearance, but close. Note there has been a reference or two to "Soylent Green" and Eddie G. was in that film, indeed it was his last film.

He's appeared, at the very least indirectly with references to "Planet of the Apes" and "Soylent Green".

He appeared in the episode where Lisa finds the Silver Tongue. He's probably appeared as a ghost a time or two, certainly Ralph portrayed him in the episode where Lisa Choo-Choo-Chooses him.

He appears every time Ol' Gill appears. Clearly that salesman is a reference to Lemmon's character in "Glengarry Glenn Ross".

Given all this, I suspect some of the other names on your list have already appeared.

Four people appeared on the show who were already dead. Before last night. John Wayne, Lucille Ball, Frank Sutton, and Elvis Presley. Now the list is much longer. True, many appeared before when they were still alive.

"Boxing Day" is a day of sales, to rush out and buy things after getting all kinds of presents (though nowadays, it may be more fitting with all those gift cards given at Christmas). There was a time when the sales meant something, but increasingly it seems like it's tradition rather than bargains that bring people out.
