The artwork for this ep was very unique, had more "dimension"; angled perspectives, shadow, light, etc.
I would imagine this kind of artwork in a full-length/theater-release version of The Simpsons...maybe this means that they are already working on a film and testing out the artwork style for TV?
Yeah I thought the artwork was cool. Added something new to the mix.

I noticed this, too. Other episodes have also had interesting perspectives, like the transition from the crowd to Moe on the ledge in "'Tis the Fifteenth Season (FABF02)." Maybe the computer colorization makes it faster (and thus practical) for the artists to have more shading and light effects.
