The roomate that kissed Homer was voiced by Kids in The Hall alumnus, Scott Thompson. Thompson is the only gay member of the cross-dressing Canadian group. Amongst his notable characters was the flamboyantly gay propriter of Buddies, a Toronto night club.
The roomate Hank Azaria voiced remined me of his character Aginor (or Agidor I frogot which was correct) from the move "The Birdcage." In that movie he plays a gay Latino butler to Robin Williams. In case you don't know, the plot of "The Birdcage" is this: Robin Williams owns a gay drag club in Miami Beach. He and his boyfriend (Nathan Lane), who is the head act the club, raised a son, who now wants to get married to the daugher of an ultra-conservative senator (Clarista Flockheart plays the daughter, Gene Hackman plays the senator). For the senator to approve, Robin Williams has to pretend he's straight, so he invites his son's mother over to dinner. She gets cought in traffic and Nathan Lane steps in to play the mother.
