Animation Alteration in Paparazzi Homer episode!

Did anyone else notice this?

In the first airing of the episode, the newspaper editor who buys celebrity photos from Homer was an obvious parody of J. Jonah Jamison from Spiderman.

In tonight's re-broadcast, the character was completely re-drawn! The voice was the same, but the character no longer had any physical resemblance to J. Jonah Jamison. this time the editor had brown hair, no mustache, and some 5 O'clock shadow. If I remember correctly, I think they might have also removed a dialogue reference to Spiderman which was in the original airing.

I suspect that a lawyer from Marvel Comics probably made some noise.

That (along with the editor who looked just like JJJ) was in "Moe'N'A Lisa." I checked the first airing of Homerazzi, and the editor looks the same as he did tonight.

That episode debuted on Sky One last night, and I think I heard a reference to Spiderman.

So they re-animated him to be Mr. Lou Grant?

If the lawyers from Marvel Comics were angry, that means they couldn't re-animate him to look like Robbie Robertson. All those alliterative names in the Spiderman comic strip. JJ Jameson, Robbie Robertson, Peter Parker.
