Watching the episode where Homer loses his license because of his drinking (which was on three days in a row at each different time slot) I got a laugh out of the scene in the bedroom where Marge asks Homer to give up drinking for 30 days and after Marge prodding he finally gives in with the statement, "I will give up drinking as of tomorrow." Then it is dark and you hear a beer can opening. When Marge asks he what that sound was he says, "I was saying, pssst, I love you'."

This lead me to attempt to recollect other amusing scene's where homer and Marge are going to bed. For example Homer the Beer Barron keeps excusing himself for the stills in the basement exploding. Are there other funny bedtime moments between Homer and Marge (one's not involving "snuggling" like Mr. Plow?

There's one with something like, "Honey, could you please close your eyes? I'm trying to sleep..."

My very favorite is in "A Milhouse Divided," where Homer wants to keep his marriage from failing like Kirk and Louanne's did:

Homer: You know, Marge, I was thinking about how much I enjoy your interests. So I wandered over to that theater you went to last night and I bought tickets to their entire season! Look, "Mostly Madrigals"! Yee...eah, that might be... good.... oh, oh, "An Evening with Philip Glass." Just an EVENING?? "Voices of the Elderly." Uhhh...

Marge: Homey, I appreciate this, but I'd really like to get some sleep.

Homer: Oh, of course, my sweet! I'll just make some soothing ocean sounds for you. Fwwsshhhh... fwwwssshhh... (foghorn noise)... (seabird squawks)... HARRR, matey!!

Absolutely, mine too. In addition, I love the scene where Homer is trying to turn Marge on by saying, "What if I unbutton this button?" and follows it up in a very deep voice with "What if I talk like this?" Cracks me up every time.

You're leaving out one of the best parts of that scene, where he says: what if I sing to you. I gave my love a chicken, it had no bones.

There's the famous "Look at me, I'm making people happy" scene, although only Marge is in bed in that one (and Homer ends up leaving the room), so I don't know if you'll count it. There's also the one in secrets of a successful marriage where Marge complains about him telling personal stuff to his students, and he goes on his diatribe that I believe goes like this: "Look, you don't know what it's like out there. I'm the one putting his ass on the line. And I'm not out of order, you're out of order, the whole freakin' system's out of order. You want the truth? You want the truth? You can't handle the truth! Cause when you stick your hand in a pile of goo that was your best friend's face, you'll know what to do. Forget it Marge, it's Chinatown."

After Marge involutarily rolls on top of the 300 pound Homer, she asks, "Have you been putting on weight?"

Marge getting the calls in "Bart on the Road" [3F17]:

Marge: [answering] Hello? Oh hello, Principal Skinner. No, Bart
has never been to Hong Kong. Good night.
[hangs up]
[the phone rings again]
[answering] Hello? Tennessee State Police? No, my son's car
was not crushed in Knoxville. I don't know where to begin
telling you what's wrong with that.
[hangs up]
[the phone rings again]
[answering] Hello? No, Bart is not available tomorrow to
deliver a human kidney to Amsterdam.
[Homer, who has dived under the covers, snorts]
Homer, are you laughing at me?
