Theme Song MP3

Does anyone know where I can find a nice, clear MP3 of the full theme song, WITHOUT that dang chorus line couch gag music at the end?

You can buy "Go Simpsonic With The Simpsons." It has the regular version of the main title theme. Then you can make your own mp3.

Well, no...that's the shortened version...if you listen to it while imagining the title sequence in your head, you'll notice parts missing - you can usually tell by how many "wah"s there are when marge discovers maggie in the shopping bag (2 in shortened, 4 in full)...but you could probably take the first track from each cd and combine the end of the short one with the bulk of the long one.

I think there are actually more differences...but I may be wrong (i'm going just by memory) - anyway, yes, i'm all for making people buy cds, especially for artists i like that aren't quadruple-platinum

Why? The record companies make money off the album sales. Recording artists make pennies.

Uh-huh. Sure...watch the next episode of MTV cribs and look at how recording artists live and tell me they make pennies. Quadruple platinum artists who make a fortune can afford a little pirating. However, I don't think Alf Clausen (and Danny Elfman) live like kings and therefore deserve to have simpsons fans respect their work and buy their music where possible instead of pirating it.

They don't get paid per copy of album sold though. They make their money through contracts and syndication. Neither Alf Clausen nor Danny Elfman would suffer if they never sold another album.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying don't buy their album, I'm merely saying don't buy it if your only motivation is to put money in the artist's pockets.

Yeah, don't forget about the two parts that were only shown way back during the first season or two, and never shown again. One was the bus stop sequence, and the other was Lisa on her bike with the big pile of books in front of her. If you haven't seen this one, it's on the Season 1 DVD set.
