This week, on Sunday past the FOX network aired the Season Finale of the animated "The Simpsons" at 7pm. On Wednesday night at 8 in the PM, the FOX network aired an ALL NEW episode of "The Simpsons". Poor FOX.
There was one overwhelming truth about both episodes of "The Simpson"; they stank.

When comparing a large amount of things and calling them ALL among the best, then the laws of averages take effect and thusly define every single episode of The Simpsons as being "among the average" show in the season.
It doesn't mean the show was phenominal, nor does it define it as horrid. Of course, being among the ones making up 'average', statistically it COULD BE one of the best. Or one of the worst.
It's all up to the mathemeticians to decide if this week's Simpsons episode was THE best or THE worst. We can't do it. In fact, if we even view OR listen to just a small portion of this episode, we will be biased in favour for or against that particular episode and can not be held responsible for the record keeping involved in defining that particular episode's rank amongst those which make up the 'average'.
We all need unbiased opinions in order to make a true judgment based upon the criteria set forth in the governing documentation which define the qualities required in order to rank a particular episode amongst its peer shows.
