The Bart the General opening was always like that, I think.
But there's stuff like the alternate chalkboard for "Two Cars....". Plus, a whole list of advertised special features that never made it into season three somehow (and that "merchandising form" and "Barbara Bush letters" stuff from the first two).
I don't mean the title sequence, which never existed in that episode, I mean the actual credits, all of which are left out somehow except "Directed by David Silverman."
That I hadn't thought of. Although I'm satisfied with the DVD sets so far my major criticism of them is that they failed to include that sort of marginalia. It's odd because ordinarily Fox is almost obsessive about it. Have you seen the number of TV spots on their special editions??
I just got the first Futurama set the other day and it had a load of deleted scenes. Surely not all of the outtakes from The Simpsons have been lost?
