As a huge Three Stooges fan I always loved their references in the show. I think it's amazing that a comedy team from the 40's can still have such an impact on current pop culture. In last nite's episode there was one instant where Homer was snoring..and at the end of the snore it kind of trails off into a comedic series of blips if you will (where his lips move really fast). It kind of sounds like "bee bee bee bee bee...". Shemp always used to snore like that back when he was doing shorts with the boys. Great episode. I love the episodes with heart and some redeeming social value to them. Mindless romps like 'Kill the Alligator and Run' should be shot dead upon arrival and stored in the "will never again see the light of day" room.

I wasn't "bee bee bee bee bee ...", it was "eeb eeb eeb eeb eeb ...". But whatever it sounded like, it was a parody of vintage Shemp. There was another episode where Homer lay on the ground on his side, and ran in a circle, a-la Curley or Shemp, I can't remember which.
