It sucked, and it wasn't even funny like past sucky episodes. I rate it a D-. If the premier is this bad, I don't have much hope for the rest of the season.
NOTE: I am not a troll, I love the Simpsons, and I usually rate the episodes between an A and a B, with the occasional C. However, tonight's episode was not up to the standards that I am used to. Even episodes like "Skinner's Sense of Snow" had redeeming qualities.

I thought the episode was good, the highlight being the line 'if I want a cock and bull story, I'll read Hemingway'[sun also rises].

That's sort of dumb to say, since most of the season was made by the Jean regime, and you don't even know what kind of episodes the Jean regime makes! We haven't seen any Jean episodes yet(well, we have, but he'll use a new team this time around)

I don't want to waste my time on an episode this bad. I'll wait until the Al Jean episodes come out (or there is a good carry-over ep) to do full reviews.
then just watch the shows, take the good with the not so good and stop complaining.
