Ok, two weeks ago I saw the episode in which Bart goes to the magnate school. On Friday, after I returned from Chicago, I saw the one where Sideshow Bob fraims Krusty for armed robery. Does anybody know whats going on with the syndication? They are finaly showing the ones I havn't seen in a long time. Are those episoes now cheeper to lisence? If so, I smell a golden age for Simpsons in syndication coming up.

They're much, much cheaper to license. The reason most of the new ones are run is that television stations are stupid. They figure that if it costs more and is newer, then it must be better...
But then the monorail episode was on the other night...

I notice the Los Angeles Fox station I get off the dish shows episodes from the season that is about to be release on DVD so, for example, they just showed a whole slew of Season 3 episodes. But most of the time they just do what you mentioned; show all the new ones. Not the way _I_ would run a monorail, but they weren't asking me...
