Does Barney drink?

I don't get Simpsons in UAE, so I am forced to download them slowly by my crappy 56k modem. Which means,even though I now have most of the episodes, I still don't have all of them.

In the Days of Wines and D'oh'es, Barney quit drinking. I assumed there was no continuity in that episode, because I'm pretty sure I've seen him drunk after that. However, in the Homer the Moe episode, he seems pretty sober.

So has Barney quit drinking or am I just confused and lost?

I prefer the non-drinking Barney. Not for any moral reasons or anything. It's just kinda cool to see big changes in character development. I like Barney the sober. It's makes me happy for him. Yes.

He looked drunk in "The Blunder Years" when they were playing the trick on Marge.

Surly Old people don't need companionship. They need to be isolated and studied so it can be determined what nutrients they have that might be extracted for our personal use.

Actually, Barney moves to a Muslim country where alcohol isn't allowed and stops drinking. Then, being in a Muslim country, he decides to hijack and airplane and kill as many people as he can.

He didn't remember his birthday party. Moe (I think it was him) gave him a coupon for free helicopter flying lessons...and he had to be sober to take the lessons. No one in the bar thought he could get sober, so he did it to prove them wrong.

Yes, but in a few episodes later, the one about the Orb of ISIS and the superglue, we learn that before 8am Barney is sober. Although that bit of information is meaningless...
