Ok, what the hell was that all about?

Both of those episodes were really not that great.

Lisa carved into a mountain? C'mon.

That gag was recycled from "Half Decent Proposal", so it lost the surprise. That ending seemed kind of sudden, I thought. The last line was "That's amazing! Thank you!" It just didn't round off the episode very well.

I'd say the episodes were both average. Apart from the minor gripe about the ending, there was not much that I particularly didn't like, and not much that particularly stood out. Sometimes episodes seem better the second time, though.

That's true...the Rock'N'Roll camp episode (don't feel like looking up the title) seemed a lot better this time..I hated it the first time it aired, though maybe I was just being overly analytical.

I'll admit that was a bit over the top, but I enjoyed both episodes.

Well yes, it looked to me to be an identical likeness. Perhaps the guy who carved the tree also carved the mountain.

(By the way, there was an installment of "American Experience" on PBS that dealt with Mount Rushmore. Locally it's being rerun this week, and perhaps that is a network wide rebroadcast. I think PBS also had a documentary on the Crazy Horse Monument, also in South Dakota, which has been "under construction" for practically forever, and still isn't finished.)
