Why exactly do the writers/producers have a problem with criticisms of the show?
I saw that episode where we see the events of a day from each family member's perspective and I saw the 'joke' at the end (,i.e. the monkey 'speaking').
Was there any need for this? Are the writers/producers overly sensitive? Can they not take any negative feedback from the fans (for whom the show would be nothing)?

The real question here is, Are the critics overly sensitive of the writer's jokes (for whom there would be no show to whine about)?
