I have to write an essay on the Simpsons for my college English class(not too shabby a topic, eh?). Anyhow, the topic is the Simpsons and underlying social/political problems. I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I have to find three episodes with the same theme, it can be education, religion, etc. If you could give me some ideas and some examples, it would be most appreciated, thanks in advance!

The most obvious would be the dangers of nuclear power plants. Duh!! They are many episodes to choose from for this topic

Ah, bugger this chap -- we English majors will overwhelm the world since so many of us unemployed will have nothing better to do than to bring about revolution!

Refer to "Philosophy and The Simpsons" -- and I'm thinking in particular the chapter about Marxism. It references the ep where Bart and Lisa go to the comic convention, the Big Brother ep, and then I can't remember.
