Did you guys notice some interesting visual things about this episode:
I get the feeling that the staff is trying to tweak the animation of the show to upgrade the look of "The Simpsons" a little. What do you guys think?

Are you referring to the pan shot around the poet? Are there any other examples? Please cite. You ideas are interesting to me.
Take a look at the episode. There's alot of scenes where there is extra detail in the character's faces and there's alot of shadowing to indicate mood as well.
Either way, I really liked this episode. It just flowed really well and I hope season 14 follows suit.

Especially in the end, as Lisa wins us back. Definite Anime reference (note the imperial sun), but still extraordinarily kickass. Someone should cut out that one clip for an mpg, it has to be one of the best visual sequences in the whole series.

Consider that if the bubble was airtight, Bart would've suffocated. Probably some filter/ventillation system in the bubble (or just a bad-ass screw-up from the start).
