In the episode when Homer goes on disability by reaching 300 pounds, you remember the scene where he's at 299 lbs, so eats a PlayDoh donut to reach 300?
Well, the scale he's standing on only goes up to 300 AFTER he's swallowed the PlayDoh donut. Surely the scale would have gone to 300 the moment he took the PlayDoh donut from Bart's hand! Are we meant to believe this is some sort of magical PlayDoh donut that doesn't have mass or weight until someone swallows it?

You must not have lived very long so far then. I only see five total posts from you so far, AND ONLY ONE of these messages contains a sarcastic message about factual errors. Additionally, only two of the total messages actually contain sarcastic comments. (40%)
Unfortunately for fans such as you and me, many of the regulars at a.t.s. have lost the zeal for discussing factual and continuity errors. Therefore our posts are regarded as "sarcastic" and "anal" and we get picked on and lyrics for songs are written about us.
Then the regulars go on to talk about Australia and Darren Hayes. Then they complain about R** W*** instead of adding him to their killfiles or ignoring him.
Then they mention the curse, and then joke about the Internet being on computers for the millionth time, yet they won't do the "Dental plan! Lisa needs braces!" for the newbies.
Then they make a reference to something that only people 40 or over could POSSIBLY understand, that of course has nothing to do with The Simpsons.
Well it's late and I have to get up early and I can't think of a Simpson's reference to add to make this post on-topic so sorry and good night.
You mean to say you haven't read of this?! The Season Set DVDs have been released in Head-shape cases (for Seasons 6 and 7 so far, and are going to be up to Season 10).
Season 6 being a Homer Head, and Season 7 a Marge Head. With the Simpson Kids as the next 3 (though don't know which Season will be which Kid).

As for the Coriolis Effect, see "Illustrated Experiments in Fluid Mechanics", several authors, MIT Press, 1972 edition, page 63, "Vorticity". BTW, Professor Ascher Shapiro, who made the film about Vorticity and Coriolis Forces in fluids, and was one of my Professors at MIT, passed away recently. He was 88.
