Why the cut?

Did anybody else notice that they cut out Cheif Wiggums line about breaking out the kiddy-sized riot batons on the rerun of 9 May (the "Babystock" episode)?

Yeah, they did cut it. I remember someone here posted that it was rather tasteless to include the joke about the junior beating sticks, but I thought it was funny... apparently, people at FOX didn't.

I noticed the cut too. But what's worse, the line about the rubber batons, or cutting it out and having it seem that they're beating babies with real ones?

Then again, it's a cartoon.

It's also consistent with Wiggums. Many a time when he and the force have had to deal with something, he'd say something along those lines. "Set your stick to stun" or something to that effect. Another time and it was something about hippy smashing sticks. So in that context, and the fact that the whole scene was a parody of a rock festival gone wrong, it was indeed a funny line.

Now, I wasn't paying attention lastnight, but shortly after where that line would have gone, the cops are overrun by the babies, and he saysa line like "now we're going to have to tummy kiss our way out of here" which is also funny because they have to resort to that.

So, is that what everyone is thinking of?

They didn't cut it. It was never there in the first place. Tiny-sized batons are a part of the school strike scene of "President Wore Pearls".

They didn't cut it in Washington DC Fox5. Saw the whole thing.....
