Not bad, probably in part because of the slight alternate storytelling style. Otherwise fairly standard, though with slight shades of something like 8F09 (Burns Verkaufen der Kraftwerk [sic]). Oh: one thing that made me laugh audibly was Smithers accidentally triggering the trap door.
DYN: ...the opening titles' last 3 names seem to bleed into the first act with the lightning? ...it's implied Milhouse's birthday is July 4th? ...Smithers tosses in a few antiquated Burnsisms near the end?

Meta-reference corner Burns promises to finish the story (at the end of act 3) once he thinks about an SUV, crispy chicken sandwich, and magic blue pill. Joining commercial break meta moments such as in 2F10, 3F04, AABF21, KABF01, KABF04. Also, though it cut to black over the last bits of his line, the next commercial (for the American "Dinner for Schmucks" remake) started with a yellow-colored introduction that at first seemed like part of THIS show.
