Could somebody tell me who this "Darren Hayes" character is and why the people on this newsgroup can't stop mentioning him in every thread?
Please help! Please no sarcasm!

Wasn't Darren Hayes the President in between Woodrow Wilson and Calvin Coolidge? Or was that between Ulysseus Grant and James Garfield?
All I know for sure is that he was one of the guys who helped the Wright Brothers fly their plane from Kitty Hawk with a thimbleful of oil. Helped win the Civil War it did.
Maybe he was the guy at Mission Control who launched Apollo Creed on his famous Moon mission.
I know! I know! He was the star of that movie about the people who had a phobia about arachnids. But I can't remember the name of the movie.

<Jeff Albertson> I, too, am puzzled by the reference to this person. However, getting any kind of straight answer from these Qu'Batlh's would be about as possible as Mary Worth advising a close friend to commit suicide. </Jeff Albertson>

Ordering us to avoid sarcasm? That's useful. Why not make a Broadway musical about the King of Siam? Or the common house cat? Or invent a run-away house? Or a Frog-Exaggerator?

It's not an order, jackass, it's a request. Hence the "please". I see you're too fucked up to help somebody though, anyway.

I understand you're request, it is very understandable. however, you must realize that the people who post to this group are a bunch of Jeff Albertsons, thus, you must expect sarcasm. Especially if you're a newbie.
Ok. Here it is in plain english. Darren Hayes is the former lead singer of a band called Savage Garden. He's now got a solo album out called "The Tension and the Spark". As to why he keeps appearing in threads, well I suppose some people here like to make fun of him/ find him funny. That is more of a personal sense of humor thing that I don't feel like debating mostly b/c I don't find him all that funny.... but that's just me.
As for the rest of us being "fucked up", well we were just having some fun with you. Especially since it would have been easy for you to google the answer just like I said before. And the web site I gave you before, ( http://www.unofficialdarrenhayes.com/udh/ ) was ligit too, so you had your answer. You don't need to get pissy - you just need to learn how to use a computer.
"The internet, eh? They have that on computers now?"

I bet you're expecting somebody to respond: "I hear they have it on computers now." well guess what smart guy...d'oh!

Well, he wants you, but he doesn't know if he needs you, but ooo he'd like to find out. He once met someone who would fly him to the moon and back if he'd be, if he'd be her baby. He wants to live (like a cannonball) careless and free (like a cannon ball). He wants to run through the jungle, the wind in his hair and the sand at his feet. He wants to stand with you on a mountain, and bathe with you in the sea. He wants to live like this forever, until the sky falls down on him. He believes in karma, what you give is what you get returned. He believes you can't appreciate real love until you get burned. He believes the grass is no more greener on the other side. He believes you don't know what you have got until you say goodbye. He is willing to sleep his way to the top. He wants to be pop (ular) Oh Oh. He is covered in darkness (covered in darkness).
Because he's JUST that good.
Hear how good on "The Tension And The Spark."
O.K. You're getting flamed pretty bad, so I'm going to take pity on you and tell you to go to this web site http://www.unofficialdarrenhayes.com/udh/ You'll find your answers there.
P.S. You could have googled "Darren Hayes" and in the future that's what I would do before you ask this kind of question, least you get flamed again. :0)

The voice of reason is a rare thing here.
The only thing worse than the sarcasm is the endless repetition of the same old quotes. So you can remember lines from the show, so what? No substitute for actual reasoned - original - replies.
First person to say they have wizards on computers now in reply to this thread deserves to be locked up in a padded room of their own colour scheme.

There have been over two dozen responses to this poor fellow's thread, and he still doesn't know who Darren Hayes is! Keep up the good work!
