I remember it was discussed on one of the DVD commentary tracks that the producers have no idea what they mean or the logic in which those numbers are assigned, they're just some kind of Fox internal accounting codes that are used to keep track of payments to the staff (and Yeardly Smith chimed in that there's actually a second similar code that's never displayed on-screen that's used to keep track of the actors' payments).
