As I suspected, Moe talked through the entire credits of "The Blunder Years". Most of it was lost in the original broadcast due to Fox's screwing with the credits.
Moe: Okay, this is a number 6 from somebody's address. OR, is it a 9? You don't know. Uh, this is gravel, okay? GRAVEL. [syndication commercial break] Moe: ...uh, that's more gravel. Okay. Oh, this is a shell, that to ME, this is just me talking, it looks like a helmet for a mouse. Now, that sounds crazy, right? BUT, if you ask the mice about it, they don't say nuthin'. I mean, they run the other way. At first I was just fishing with the helmet thing, but then from the mouse reaction I got, I got a little more concerned. Homer: You really made that envelope? 'Cause it says "Hammermill" over here. Moe: Um... no. [Homer screams over the Gracie Films logo, the Fox fanfare is normal]
So season 13 _IS_ in syndication...those bastards at that station in Cleveland that runs Simpsons reruns are really trying to screw me - first they put in ads during the credits and last week they cut us down to one per day. For the record, that was all in the original, but you only heard it if you had a satellite feed (or were in Canada, perhaps). I hate when fox does that.
Yeah.. Global, a Canada-wide tv station up here and FOX affiliate, also has rights to air Simpsons episodes that they are not showing in conjuction with FOX.. and they show them entirely on weekends. During weekdays they generally show all the credits, but the episodes will have syndication cuts in them.. but on the weekends it's first-airing completely uncut. Global rocks.
Anyone who has Canadian satellite, like Bell ExpressVu or DirecTV can seriously sit down at 1:30pm on a good Saturday or Sunday and not get up until 8:30pm, having seen 14 different episodes, all completely uncut. Last weekend I personally watched nearly 25 episodes during the weekend, and none were duplicates.

The episodes during the weekend reruns, sometimes air uncut, sometimes cut. I have been taking notes on which are cut and which are not. Everything after Season seven is uncut and before season eight, it's random. And for some reason, some episodes, sometimes air cut, and sometimes air uncut. But, good thing: unlike THE COMEDY NETWORK and FOX, those episodes air with the credits, a good thing.
But, during the first airing of the episodes on Sunday nights, Global deletes the credits. Even when there is special music, we don't hear it. It shows Matt Groening's name and then cuts to Gracie films and 20th Century Fox and then cuts to a commerical for an upcoming show. This sucks, it's exactly what The Comedy Network does. Ruins the episode.
But when some character is talking, like in CABF21, then Global will show the normal credits but squeezing the credits to the left and covering the right part of the screen with the names of the upcoming shows on Prime & Global. It sucks, but at least we get to hear what Moe says in that episode. THE COMEDY NETWORK doesn't always do that, but the fact that for over one year, they showed the complete credits, and suddenly stopped, it really is disappointing. And on top of that, they change the sound that we used to hear during Gracie Films and 20th Century Fox for "The Comedy Network"-style music. That network must be under new administration because they had promissed to always show the complete episodes "We air what Fox gives us, unchanged." They lied.
I hate The Comedy Network and Global for cutting the episodes like that. I used to be a big fan of The Comedy Network, but not anymore. And for Global, I only watch The Simpsons and that it. If they stop cutting the credits, maybe i'll start supporting their sponsors. But I don't expect it. These people do not care one bit what we, the viewers, think.
Hmm yeah I know they mess with the credits.. but it seems to only happen during the last show on Sundays. Heh I agree I only ever watch Global for The Simpsons and Futurama. But I've recorded so far over 80 episodes from global, all uncut.
Just curious where did you get that quote about Comedy showing what FOX gives them, etc? It'd be good to put in a new petition.

On a April 25, 2002 message, they wrote the following:
"The Comedy Network never censors, cuts or otherwise manipulates any of our series. What we air is what we are provided by the distributor, and what the distributor provides is the only version available."
They lied to us. They do manipulate the series. Proof: The Simpsons are missing the entire end credits, which ruins the episodes and very often cuts out something interesting that is going on, like in the recently aired episode "Selma's Choice." And even when it's the regular Simpsons music, the credits are part of the episode and should be aired with it!
The Comedy Network is currently celebrating their 5th anniversary. It reminds me of better days for them. It's sad really.
Ok, then...I don't remember the exact wording of the first line (and am too lazy/busy to get out the dvd), but I believe Homer says "will that hold up in court?" Marge may have said "always" in hers, I'm not sure.
