Jack Lemmon, the inspiration for Simpson character Gil, died yesterday, along with the executor of his estate. They were in the same car.

yeah, paul holds his own s'marvelously nowadays. for a while he was the target of many of dave's snide comments, and that was something you'd NEVER see on the old show.
and dave hasn't been in such a fine form since the late '80s. the incessant ranting about his computer reminds me of the days on "late night" when he'd repeatedly rake joan collins over the coals for refusing to appear on the show.
