Late seasons doubters: "I Am Furious Yellow" is classic.

I recently rewatched "I Am Furious Yellow" (which premiered on April 28, 2002). Bart creates an internet cartoon entitled "Angry Dad" that's based on Homer. Marvel Comics' Stan Lee guest stars as himself.

chunks, Bart drawing Homer, free stock, Mello Yellow/dirty diapers on strings, Incredible Hulk. There is also great artwork, production and acting.

My only criticism would be that Stan Lee slows down the momentum at the end with his Hulk impression when Homer was just getting started.

I've seen many times in this group, comments from people who have given up on the show; "Anything after Season 7 sucks", etc.

Yet, if an episode like, "I Am Furious Yellow" premiered in, for example, "Season 4", it would be considered "classic". I think at this point, four years later - it should be considered just that.

If you don't find that episode funny, maybe you just don't like comedy.

"Good thing his pants stayed on!" "Did I break it, or make it better?" And "somehow, I think his mind is no longer in mint condition". We use that line a lot around here.

I thought I am Furious Yellow was great too. It even restored my faith in Swartzwelder scripts. Unfortunately the next week's episode (the one about Apu having an affair) sucked and was by Swartzwelder so that pretty much ruined everything.

Actually I did get the CBG reference and I thought that it was funny. No offense was taken. I just wanted to take the opportunity to give one reason why IMO the war was indeed NOT the worst ever. :-)
