Not much to say for this episode, it started out strong but kinda fell into the cliched pattern of Homer does something stupid, Marge leaves Homer, Homer does stupid thing to get Marge back, Marge's heart melts and they're a family again. Also, that ending seemed tacked on at the last minute to add an extra 30 seconds on the show. Overall grade is a C.

The Alec Baldwin biologist character wasn't enough of a romantic threat.
Lazy plot construction: No mention of football or Fat Tony after the episode's first act. No mention of Burns/Smithers till the last minute.
It's 17 seasons and all, but I wasn't impressed.

No, there's really no reason for them to appear in other scenes. After Homer repays Fat Tony by letting him shoot the porno video, there's no reason for him to appear anymore. I think Fat Tony was less funny than usual this time, but the fact that he only has a few scenes doesn't strike me as a particularly relevant complaint. And I see no reason why Burns and Smithers couldn't just appear for one joke. It's more than they appear in a lot of episodes, after all.

The biggest cliche of all was how the manatee and then Homer both puked when the plot was starting to get stale.
