Ehhhhh... in comparison to last week's Lisa episodes, which I like, I find myself tiring of Burns episodes, especially ones like this. I'll grant that the amnesia angle was sort of interesting, and at least he didn't come close to learning a lesson. Smithers and Cheney was mildly funny. But it seemed to just sort of stumble toward the end and was really losing my interest by then. So.
DYN: ...the ET doll in Bart's closet at the appropriate moment? (Wow - just after I typed that up, an extended ET gag on The Cleveland Show.) ...Maggie wants to exact revenge by shooting Burns again?

Goof The banner says "father and son barbeque". I don't care how much that spelling is popping up everywhere (most recently and annoyingly in a McDonald's campaign for the McRib), I refuse to accept that as a variant spelling. It's "barbecue" or "BBQ", not a combination of the two.
Other stuff In the Avatar couch gag, they use red-blue 3D glasses. This is certainly not used theatrically anymore, though occasionally still on home video - Coraline I believe was a 2D + red-blue 3D flipper disc.
The idea of a new horrible disease no one's ever gotten but anyone could is awfully similar to Family Guy a few weeks ago ("Halloween on Spooner Street").
Burns wants to cover the town with a dome for revenge (complete with one being flown in by helicopters) - just as in movie, which is pointed out. (I guess he hasn't made a full mental recovery.) But the timing of this episode's airing is notable, as the movie is making its Fox network premiere this very week (on 11/25). (If you didn't know yet, you should, since they ran a promo on a break. But I make the note so we don't forget later.) (It is worth noting that it's not the movie's TV premiere. Besides on-demand, it started airing on FX 1/14/10 by my notes, which incidentally was what people erroneously called the 20th anniversary of the series premiere.)
