It seems that nobody has named a baby "Homer" since the 1980's. Could this be blamed on The Simpsons? According to the web site at http://babynamewizard.com/namevoyager/lnv0105.html, if you search for Homer, that name was most popular in the 1890's but has steadily declined until the 1980's.
Marge and Margery were popular in the 1920's but we haven't had a new Marge since the 1960's.
Maggie was really popular in the 1880's but dropped steadily to the 1960's but is rising again. Margaret was popular in the 1910's but dropped steadily until the 1970's. People are still naming new babies Margaret, but barely.
Lisa had a very short run, from the 1950's to the 1980's.
The graph for Bart looks like his hair... lots in 1880's, few in the 1910's, lots in 1960's, and few in the 1990's.
Moe was popular in the 1900's.
Lenny went from the 1930's to the 1980's, but Carl and Carlos has been holding steadily (Carlos taking over Carl).
