No, I meant shows or ads that reference a website as an auxiliary source of information, not as a means to promote itself. Ok, that's a little confusing. Let's say that Ebay uses Ebay.com to promote itself, but the anti-smoking ad and The Simpsons used a website to provide further information and/or humour.

That's about a Saturday Night (or at least the commercial was, I haven't checked out the website) sketch, Jane and Dan doing a sketch about dangerous toys (which was also about RAMs (silicone wafers are known as "glass" in the industry. When Mostek security finally came around looking for me for creating that parody adv., I was with my boss (as I recall) and the Mostek security officer (once I responsed that, Yes, I am Stan) asked if there was a place where he could talk to me in private, and from my recollection, my boss (Lou Jordan (a humongous (actual) AC/DC fan)) responded that we could use his office.

So we retreated to LJ's office, and the officer sat in LJ's seat, and I sat opposite, and he asked me a few questions, mainly directed at finding out if I something against (and perhaps intended harm to) Hal Ergot. Of course my response was like - "No, my only intent was humour."

But he did nail my ass, when he asked me if I used Mostek equipment (and time) to create the parody (and yes I did, and I guiltily responded so.)

But the best part was when he asked me if my boss approved of my action, and my response was simply to raise my head and point my eyes at the copy of the parody adv. I created that was on his WALL above my head. :-) (StanNote: the parody was a humongous Mostek hit, 2 hours after I posted the only copy of it on the parody board, I was in a building like 4 buildings away from the R & D building in some manager's office, and his secretary comes running in the office with copies of it saying - you got to check this out!!!!)

Anyhow, a couple of weeks later LJ told me that the official response was a slap on my hands and to tell me to never do it again.
