I just returned from Nancy Cartwright's Homecoming lecture ( She is OU alumna). The speech was everything I'd hoped it would be. She talked about the show, herself, she did voices and the like. She began the show with "I'm Bart Simpson who the hell are you?" She announced that as her favorite quote. Along with Bart, she also did the voices of Rod (or Todd she's not sure which one she does), Database, Ralph Wiggum, and the baby noises of Maggie. They were all exteremely entertaining. As far as personal favorites, she listed Ralph as the favorite voice she does, "Bossom" as the best word for Bart to do, and Frink, Flanders, Gill, and Krusty as her favorite characters she doesn't do voices for. Episode-wise, she mentioned "Simpsoncalifragilisticexpiala(Annoyed Grunt)cious", "A Streecar Named Marge", "Lisa's Substitute", and "Brother's Little Helper" among her personal favorites. Her favorite special guest was with Tom Jones. Nancy also spoke about the various other voices she has done with other programs, giving most credit to her mentor Daws Butler. She has voiced Gloria on "Richie Rich" (her first paid voice gig), had parts on "My Little Ponie", "Snorks", and "Pound Puppies". Nancy also was the shoe who was dipped in "The Dip" in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?". The highlight of the lecture was the numerous behind-the-scenes clips that were showed to the audience, one including an eight minute collage of the casts favorite clips. The treat was delivered, when she announced that the show is signed for another season[14] after this upcoming one (we all already knew that), and that season 15 is basically our (the fans) decision whether we feel they should keep making episodes. After the potential 15th season, she CONFIRMIED that they have signed contracts to do 3 FULL-LENGTH feature films!! Overall, the crowd response was overwhelming and I came away with an autopraphed copy of her book and a picture of the two of us. I hope everyone can experience a lecture from a Simpson's cast member, they will definitely enlighten you about the world of Springfield (which she also mentioned that NO ONE in the cast knows[if any] what state it is in ).
