Is there any proof that Dr. Hibbert was, in fact, Bleeding Gums Murphy's brother?

It looks that way...I don't see any reason why not, and at least it was more explicit than, say, saying Smithers is gay or Springfield is in _____.

I don't know about that but my theory is that the guy in the orphanage in the episode Oh Brother Where Art Thou where Homer's looking for his long lost brother, is in fact the long lost brother of Dr. Hibbert. Just listen to his voice and pick up the clues.

Didn't they mention in 2F32 that he had two long-lost brothers? I may be way off on that, but then it would be the orphanage guy, Dr. Hibbert, and BGM.
