Long overdue, too. FOX 5 here is finally showing a ton of classics, ones that I haven't seen in a long time on television!
Oh, sure, I own the DVDs, but I can't always get to them, so this is real nice :P
In a few weeks, however, I bet that FOX'll get right back to showing the same rotation of 20 episodes over and over and over and over again.

I assume that you are talking about "FOX 5" in NY... They have been playing the old ones; I noticed that it appears to have spawned from the Simpson's Viewers Choice Awards. Obviuosly, some of the old ones are good...But, the real old eps they've been playing, (Homer w/ Walter Matthau style voice/very primitive animation), are just way too slow for me to handle.

I'm wondering if Fox is starting to do this around the country. I live in Austin, TX, and I noticed last night they played a season 2 episode (Dead Putting Society), when the earliest episode they ever would play is Itchy and Scratchy and Poochie. It'd be nice if they continue to do this. I don't have season 4-6 on tape, and have only seen some of them once or twice.

Fox 11 L.A. has always had a good mix of old and new though. This past summer they played practically all of seasons 1-7 and nothing past that for about a month. I guess it's easier for them to mix it up though seeing as it comes on 3 times a day here. And Bart vs. Thanksgiving was only played because it was Thanksgiving. They're showing season 1 in the 6:00pm slot, 11 in the 7:30pm one and 12 in the 11:00pm slot.
