Union Logo

Does anybody know where I can get a decent quality picture/reproduction/file/image of the union logo for the International Brotherhood of Jazz Dancers, Pastry Chefs, and Nuclear Technicians (from the "Last Exit to Springfield" episode)? My web search has thus far only turned up one small icon, and it doesn't even have the name of the "union" on it.

This is a long time favorite of mine, in part because I teach labor law. Indeed, my exams always feature this particular union in at least one essay question.

Anyway, going even further, if anyone knew of any animation cells of the union logo, I would be a very interested potential purchaser.--Joe Slater

No, the IBoJDPC&NT is a made-up name. It's a clever and knowing reference to the modern trend of some unions to merge/consolidate and therefore have full names that are both very long and include some rather disparate trades. The full name of the UAW, for example, is actually the United Auto, Aeorospace, and Agricultural Implement Workers; the full name of the Carpenters Union includes "Marble, Tile and Terazzio Workers"; etc. As a professor writing exams with hypothetical fact situations, I get to make up names--or steal them from "The Simpsons." I do tell students that they can just write "the union" in their answers so they don't have to waste time writing out the IBoJDPC&NT name.

Also, thanks to the person (who might want to be anonymous) who sent me the .bmp file picture of the logo; it's way cool. If anyone ever hears of an animation cell ....
