I ordered my Simpsons DVD set from an on-line vendor called www.playcentric.com and was just curious about whether anyone else here had done the same. Is this a reputable vendor? Did anyone actually receive the DVD's from them on 25 September?

I ordered from them too since they had the best price around. I preordered the Simpsons DVD with another DVD last month and they billed me immediately for the whole order (something most online retailers don't do), I got the first DVD I ordered 2-3 weeks after it was shipped supposedly (it was coming from Canada where Playcentric is located, and I know that international mail has been slow in wake of the terrorist attacks, but they had two weeks to get it to me BEFORE September 11). They emailed me that the Simpsons DVD shipped on September 25, so I hope to get it soon, but it could be another week at least. I just hope my copy isn't defective like people on this newsgroup are describing, since I don't want to go through the trouble of exchanging it through the mail!

Geez, I ordered mine from Amazon on the 24th; I received an e-mail that it shipped on the 25th; I received the DVD set on the 28th and finished watching it this morning (29th).
And if you search back on the 24th, you'll see me stupidly asking the DVD set was includes the 13 episodes (since they weren't listed in the "detailed description". I didn't even realize they were to be released on the 25th. (I just plum forgot about it)
I sure hope to get mine soon, I was impressed by Playcentric's price-- it was only $20. It seems to be on sale just about everywhere for $30, I could have gone to Best Buy and bought it the day it was released but I figured I could wait a bit and save the $10.
