TV Guide Synopsis: (Close-Up)

    THE PARENT RAP.  Jane Kaczmarek lends her voice to a role with similarities
to her Lois character from Malcom in the Middle in the 13th-season opener.
    It begins with Bart and Milhouse accidentally stealing a police car.
Expecting an easy judge, Bart is instead faced with Judge Constance Harm
(Kaczmarek), a stern, no-nonsense arbiter. Noting Homer's contribution to the
incident and sensing that Bart is "crying out for adult supervision." Her Honor
orders the young troublemaker to be tethered to his father. The plan can't help
but bring the pair closer to each other, but their new ling interferes with the
relationship between Homer and Marge, who literally cuts the cord, landing her
in Harm's way as well.

DYN ....the little guillotine on Judge Harm's bench? ....Maggie did not promise to not commit crimes for a year?

Errors:

Since when is Judge Snyder a lenient judge? He sentenced Marge to 30 days in 9F20 for shoplifting, which is a much less then Bart did here.

Homer has never suffered from night terrors.

Review: The 13th Season starts out with a whimper as we begin the beginning of the end of the Mike Scully era. The Homer & Marge are bad parents issue has been tackled before, and better in episodes like "Home Sweet Home Diddily-Dum-Doodily". Some decent jokes here, but nothing all that memorable here. A Run of the mill episode. Jane Kaczmarek was good as Judge Harm however, which help kept the episode from being completely useless. (C)

Er no, not really. The Titanic hit an iceberg. There is a major difference between an iceberg and a cinder block. Also, the Titanic broke in half, the houseboat did not.

Well all she had to do was raise her hand like the rest of OFF Did, which she did not.

I was refering more to the actual plunge to the bottom was similar to the final plunge of the ship, but that might be because no matter how hard I try, I can't forget that damn movie!

True, but Snyder has been shown to be tough in the past. In "When You Dish Upon a star" he slaps a 500 mile restraining order keep Homer away from all celebrities. Suddenly he's a wussy bleeding heart judge? It would of done better if they made up a different judge IMO.

Well he does have nightmares, but everyone has those. I don't remember any other time in the shows history in which it was stated that he suffered from night terrors. Then again maybe I should ask him ;).

There's no inconsistency with Snyder--no kid's ever received a harsh punishment from him. Bart got out just fine on that assault and battery charge he assumed from Nelson in "Bart Star." Just adults receive tough punishments.

BTW, I thought the little ponytailed girl of justice statue was hilarious.

I did too until you posted the headline. Maybe it was done in Photoshop by one of the Springfield Shopper reporters. Or it could've been in their files. However, it looked exactly like the boat that sank, so...

when this happened, i was like "why didn't they have the thing break in half and the whole spiel like in titanic." come on writers...every moment is a moment for another laugh however cheap. in the good episodes there was a laugh every few seconds.

Well true but part of it is how much it costs to animate each cell...it's pretty expensive you know. Though when they write the episodes I seriously doubt they keep that idea in mind.

Was I the only one who got this? At the end of BABF03 (Eight Misbehavin') Homer is on stage with a bunch of cobras. There's your source of the night terrors.
