Clearly there's nothing happening in Simpsons news, so here's something at least, to get you talking and possibly excited. The word around the campfire is that due to increasingly good sales on the Futurama� DVD sets and Video Game, Fox may be firing up the grill on another season of Matt Groening's show. The series, which was on air for four seasons, never reached the heights of popularity achieved by The Simpsons, but was applauded by critics & fans everywhere. At the time the show was pulled indefinitely�, the rumour was that at least another season of the show was in the early to 50% complete stage of production, and may be revisited further down the road. Well, according to a couple of sources, they may just have gotten a little further down the road, so hopefully for fans of the show, there will be more Fry, Bender, Leela and Dr. Zoidberg on the way this time next year!

Fox never gave Futurama or Family Guy a chance (though that's really not news). But hey lets have a Malcolm Marathon.

How about a Malcolm movie? It's not as if there's going to be a Simpsons movie any time soon (which, in a way, is a good thing, as there's no way they can start work on one without severely cutting back on the TV series; it is NOT "just as easy as putting three or four TV episodes together")...

They could do a crossover movie with The Simpsons. The SImpsons visit a World's Fair, and visit an exhibit with a time machine, where they travel into the future and meet the characters of Futurama. I can't remember when the Flintstones and the Jetsons did this, which family visited the fair. I guess it was The Jetsons, but The Simpsons are way in the future compared to The Flintstones. Memory tells me The Jetsons also visted The Flintstones, but I may be mixing that up with "It's About Time".

That means little; with the exception of when a past episode is explicitly referenced, every Simpsons episode is a stand-alone. Heck, Dr. Marvin Monroe isn't even DEAD anymore.
