DVD - Scene Selection Breaks... how come?

Just got the DVD... Yay!

I've only watch a tiny bit so far, but noticed something that I find odd. It doesn't seem like the DVD scene breaks match up with the normal commercial breaks. For example, on Homer's Odyssey, there is a scene break right after Homer gets fired in front of Bart. Moments later, you can see that there was a commercial break because there is a fade-out.

Why would they not use the commercial breaks as the DVD scene selection breaks? Or, even if there were more breaks on the DVD than there were actual commercial breaks, they still should have used the commercial breaks as some.

Again, I just started watching, and I'm thrilled with the product. But, has there been any statements regarding this?

Insult me for being anal, because all Newsgroup folks can't help but insult, but I'd still like to hear other opinions about this.

Anywho, I'm not sure anyone knew the answer to your question. Were you just asking us to speculate? I could do that and sound like an ass (as usual :-) but I didn't feel "speculative" just then.
