A gripe I have with the ep with the aptitude test...

So at the end of act 2, Skinner asks Lisa: "What are you rebelling against?" I expected Lisa to say something like "My aptitude result, that's what"... instead, she says "What have you got?" Come on. Why not let Skinner get to the bottom of your problems? File this under the "but then it wouldn't be fun, would it?" category, I guess... And I see that the machine that grades the test went haywire when it got to the siblings' tests. Wonder what they were _really_ supposed to get... don't see why they couldn't have made room for that as part of the denouement.

i think you're joking, and i don't see why it's funny. but since i'm bored . . .

1) she says that because its a reference to a very famous scene in a very famous movie, something about an upstart with no motivation. 2) the machine goes haywire, unable to believe bart is best suited for police work, because bart is a bad little boy and no-one can believe that he'd be good as a policeman, not even the machine.
