Has anybody found the easter eggs for the Season Two DVD? I've found one: Disc 3; Select 'Old Money'; On the 'Old Money' menu screen, press "left" (this should highlight Grandpa's fez); Select the fez:
You get a gag drawing of Grandpa by Wes Archer.

Season One; Season Two; The Simpsons Film Festival (movie themed episodes) and The Simpsons Backstage Pass (rock music themed episodes). I haven't bothered with Film Festival and Backstage Pass because 1) There are no decent extra features; 2) The episodes will eventually be released on the respective season-by-season DVDs 3) Several of the episodes come from later seasons (for example, the Mel Gibson episode, the Who episode etc.), and I draw the line at Season 8 - that was when the Simpsons "jumped the shark" IMO.
I'm afraid I can't give a list of the episodes featured on Backstage Pass and Film Festival, but I believe that there are four eps on each DVD. I believe that there are plans to release more themed DVDs in the near future (there's a ton of them on VHS). Hope this helps.

I'll just briefly state some of the episodes which I believe are symptomatic of the "jump":
You Only Move Twice: It used to be fun when they'd do something crazy and never mention it again (like the Monorail), but this was pretty silly and childish. The Homer They Fall: 'Previously unknown fact about Homer', 'Homer becomes involved in a "crazy situation"', 'Crappy "ironic" ending' - all symptoms of the show's downfall. Burns, Baby Burns: Long-lost relation, 'crazy Homer adventure', misuse of a guest-star. Hurricane Neddy: This episode was, IMO, the beginning of the end for our beloved Flanders. Mary Poppins episode: When the show used to do songs, it was pretty funny. Turning it into a full-blown musical was a big mistake. Just plain bad. Homer's Enemy: This was the one episode which put me off the Simpsons. I always used to root for Homer (think back to Homer's Odyssey, The Way We Was, Homer at the Bat - he was a good guy, and we wanted him to get a break). But how could you root for Homer in this - he was a horrible caricature.
Although I found some of these episodes pretty funny (You Only Move Twice & The Homer They Fall), I realised that the Simpsons was no longer 'essential' TV. Nothing worth setting the VCR for. Although, having seen some later episodes (not sure which season), I can understand why you'd consider the "jump" to be later.

There are a couple of compilation DVD's : 'Backstage Pass' and 'Film Festival'. I don't know which episodes they contain, but it's probably 4 on each, relating to the title.

Oh, and I must say, the season 2 DVD rocks - since it's the same price as season 1 and has 10 extra episodes, I'm a happy bunny.
