Whenever some website advertises "free price quotes, no obligation", they almost always have you fill out a form with personal information. What the hell for? It's a free quote, give it to me and stop asking for personal information, I say.
But there's no button option on the form for that, so you have to "jump through the hoops anyway". Due to their persistence, I have decided to provide them with information on characters from the Simpsons.
In the past few days, I have filled out forms as Julius Hibbert (some realestate dotcom site that gives prices on available Manhattan realestate), Kirk Van Houten (another real estate site) and today, I tried Homer Simpson (for some website that boasts the lowest automobile prices around).
Apparently, today's form had some built-in means of checking the validity of names (among other things). The form came back as "Name provided doesn't appear to be a real name". I changed it to Homer "Thompson", it went right through.
God, I love the Simpsons :o)
