Man, I mean this was a good simpsons but why are they seeing a movie that came out 5 years ago. That like having the mock the Haunting or Lake Placid. Sure its a cartoon, but are they so hard up for ideas this was the best they thought of? Just seems weird. It was funny, but the jokes are just old. Jar-Jar bashing? Man, they just phoned this in.

Good point. I'm watching it and thinking "What the hell, aren't they a little late on the Episode 1 parody?"

I mean, South Park often tackles issues that are currently in the news, or at worst less than a year old. I realize the Simpsons has a longer lead time, but five years, WTF is up with that??

That said, it was a good ep and a good trashing of ST Ep 1. One full point deducted for extreme tardiness: I rate it a three out of five.
