no, they slated last years THOH for the 30th
Well there is one scheduled for Sunday.
The thing is, likely you watched it last year as a very early prelude to this year's Halloween, rather than waiting for it to appear just before Halloween like you'd want.
They aren't topical, so there's no reason to view it early if you are among those who think it belongs before Halloween.
Note that the November 6th broadcast will be before Halloween, just merely 51 weeks early.
And as people have said in the past, now way will they move the special up. It's been heavily promoted for November 6th, and if they move it people will miss it because they were expecting it the next week.

Hell, they could've put it on Monday night at 8, the World Series would be over and they already planned to pre-empt Arrested Development for a repeat of Prison Break. Airing the Treehouse show in November continues to be one of the dumbest network moves around year in and year out.

So all people have to do is record the show on November 6th, and not watching. Put it away and forget about it.
Then on October 29th next year, they can get it out and watch it. It will still be before Halloween next year, but the 12 month delay in viewing it will mean it seems like it's right before, rather than 12 months before.
Indeed, this is what Fox did last night, airing last year's episode the day before Halloween. If people handn't watched it early, ie last November, it would be a new episode and just in time for Halloween.

Oh please, the World Series ended on Wednesday, of last week, FOX, would have put the new ep on this past Sunday, and everyonre could have watched that wanted to, the majority of people don't plan out their tv watching schedule weeks and weeks in advance, in fact I'd wager that most Simpsons fans tuned into FOx at some point on Sunday, probably during tyhe end of the Football games and noticed that the Treehouse ep wasn'tr going to be on until next week, curedsed FOX under their breath and then changed the channel. The only reason FOX didn't air the new ep is because of the advertisers and how much they paid and that date and price already being set in stone. And knowing that the Series would have been over by MOnday they could've advertised the Hell out of the Treehouse actually airing on Holloween, different day or not and FOX would have actually gotten decent numbers for once in the 8pm slot.

It must be over, since I've not seen baseball on tv for a few days. Fox did air "Maid in Manhattan" on Thursday, and given that I missed the first half because it wasn't listed is an indication that the baseball season ran out before Fox expected.
