Is it me or is rewatching Simpsons episodes funnier than the first time?

Is it me or does rewatching Simpsons episodes (new or old) make the episodes funnier than the first time?

No, it's not just you. I'm not sure if the episode is actually funnier (although they can be) I tend to find myself laughing at other little details I may have missed the first time... Like the DYN's (Did You Notice)

I think thats only true of a relatively few middle of the road episodes, where the memorable lines or a certain inventiveness in a character/plot is better appreciated with each viewing. But in general, I think of it was a classic it was classic out of the gates, and if it was raw sewage then the smell hasn't simply dispersed with the years.

Let me rephrase...Classic Out of the Gate to anyone who isn't channeling CBG and still has a grasp on reality outside of the view from the window of their asylum--which throws out about half the reviewers at snpp. When a reviewer start saying things like "This episode was too Unrealistic" or "The Continuity errors ruined it for me" about the SIMPSONS, I think its safe to say that they are NonPersons whose experiences may be safely discounted.
